Newshound reporter Nik Byron

Humiliated and banished from his dream job after a botched investigation, reporter Nik Byron finds a home at Newshound, a feisty online start-up, with hopes of rehabilitating a once-promising career.

Over the course of four novels, and with the aid of colleagues Mia Landry, Patrick Morgan, and veteran newsman Frank Rath, Nik risks his life to expose a massive financial scandal, the theft of top-secret government technology by rogue agents, the truth behind the violent death of one of the world's richest software moguls, and a deadly bioweapons program run out of the White House.

Nik has appeared in all four of Mark Pawlosky’s novels. Each can be read in isolation or enjoyed in the order of publication: HackFriendly Fire, Black Bird, and Newshound.

Nik is set to appear in another upcoming novel.

“Nik Byron is flawed, charming, and always flirting with being down on his luck. But tell him he can’t get a story, and his smarts and ambition take over.”
